Yellowstone

Geysers, wild neighbors, and the great open landscapes of Yellowstone and Grand Teton.

A Trip Years in the Making

We first planned a Yellowstone trip in our second year of college, then life kept postponing it. In my sixth year in the United States, we finally picked it back up—and it was worth every delay. Yellowstone somehow gathers geysers, hot springs, canyons, waterfalls, lakes, and wide open plains into one unforgettable place.

The wildlife felt just as extraordinary. Between Yellowstone and Grand Teton, we saw moose, elk, bears, bison, deer, and countless smaller creatures—living peacefully alongside people and the landscape. Watching Old Faithful rise into the sky was a highlight, but the whole park felt alive with wonder.

Just two hours away, Grand Teton offered a completely different kind of drama: sharp peaks, vast views, and a photographer's paradise. This trip left me loving wild animals even more, and already dreaming about a future journey to Kenya.
